Upper left area is SAF training area, there's a gate to the entrance which is locked (left side, just before the dam) . It's possible to trek from the shore during low tide (but at your own risk).

Lots of vegetation and less buildings. It's really a great place for IR. What do you guys think?

Err... are there any copyright issues with posting Google Earth images?

Think there could possibly have some copyright issue.

I just read the license of Google Earth. Yes, there's copyright issue here. Not allowed to reproduce.

leews2001, thanks for your effort. Sorry but I have to remove the posts here with the pics from Google Earth. I edited your first post to remove the pic from Google Earth in case there are any issues with the Admin of CS.

Reproducing pics from streetdirectory.com is also not allowed by them. Links to them are allowed.

Be very careful when taking photos of this place. Me and friends ever stopped by police and was questioned by a CID officer on the spot for photography. They taken our ID's and search my vehicle. No joke.

Nice shot there, eawtan. I like the triangle formation.

Looks like a low shot.

That is Yishun Dam. Left side is actually Lower Seletar Reservoir and right is sea water. Seletar Airport is near this area. If you follow this road, you will see a country club and the fence of seletar airport.

Is the floating boat berth still around that area?

10 cops, 4 police cars, 2 hours of my time wasted....

And they keep on asking me and my friends 'Why do you take photos of lamposts?'

I guess the police just refuse to believe that there's anything special about the lamposts when it's abundantly a lot around Singapore. Why must be these lamposts around this area?

I think it was due to the dam there...

Seems like I have started a serious OT session.

Some parts of Seletar camp are quite nice for IR also, just need to avoid the airport. Lots of old buildings, trees, grass, WWII era lamposts. Lower seletar is quite nice also, with Orchid Country club as a background across the water. Yishun Ave 1 goes across the damn, that is another nice place to shoot.

Wonder how to answer the police in this case, I am curious.
Eversince 911, police are also particular on shooting some of the govt buildings.
