Default First Encounter With Jumping Spider

Sharing a few shots of the jumping spider. A lot of things were not done right in this series. Flash too harsh, shadow, white balance inconsistent. All critique are welcome.

Appreciate your self-critique, but good moment captured nevertheless.

Whats your settings? your grasshopper shot has a good flash exposure, so was there difference in these series?

Thanks.

Yes. The flash mode is different. All my shots were taken in TTL but this spider was taken in TTL-Balance. Before seeing this spider I was playing with my flash and forget to set it back to TTL. That is to say all my flash compensation I have set was counter compensated by the flash.

not a bad series ...
but thought i feel the colours a bit too rich
just my two cents ...
wonder if that's an ant mimicking spider its eating or not? ...

Quite agree with Jayson_Ang, colours being too rich. Not natural. Nice catch, though. #2 is still the best.

Jayson_Ang & Qazwer, I agree with the color comment, but I did not add any saturation in my post processing. The in-camera saturation was set to high, and may be the customize curve I use in the camera. Will take note of that.
