Was around lower pierce region, and went there abt 6pm to shoot.....so had abt an hr to shoot due to poor lighting.
Manage to take some JS and beetles. Appreciate your comments. FZ10+6T+Sigma CU, F8, 1/60s, ISO50, ext flash A610+reverse, F8, 1/125s, ISO50 ext flash #1: JS...looks like a Yellow-Lined Epeus (FZ10) ![]() #2: Another view (FZ10) ![]() #3: Red Beetle (FZ10) ![]() #4: Mating (FZ10) ![]() #5: Mating (A610) ![]()

Nice series. Personally I like 2, 3 & 4. It will be better for no. 2 if the spider is looking up to the camera.
Why is the color of the beetle difference for no. 5 as compare to 3 & 4? Is this the difference between FZ10 & A610? |

JS shots, sometimes I prefer the ISO view. Straight on is nice and good, but sometimes the head and the abdomen are interesting to show too....in this case the head has interesting patterns. The Canon, is abit warmer. The FZ10 is warm but not that much, furthermore, I have added some blue to the camera setting to compensate it.
