For point-and-shoot cameras, the contrast is usually quite high as punchy colours are favoured by point-and-shooters especially for their prints. But the fact that it does not reflect the true colours of the scene will affect different people to different extents. That's why even some PnS cameras such as the Ixus 800IS have contrast, sharpness and saturation levels controls.

hi undiscern, my eyes tend to prefer a higher contrast, so that's all I adjusted...otherwise the pics are as is, (oh, resized too, smaller, to what u see here). No tripod and filters.

Thanks!

Such contrast adjustment is done on your camera as part of setting or after you upload to PC and use software to adjust? If software adjusted, do you mind showing the original of the "durian" direct off the card (re-size ok, but no other adjustment)?

Thanks! sorry, me abit goondul here...

the diff between the original and here, is just that the pic is slighty brighter and more distinctive in the different colours, so the pic on the whole looks clearer and sharper. the contrast is adjusted at the PC level.
(sorry coz too much work is involved, so unlikely will upload the original, hope u don't mind).

Hi guys, just a question. I have seen a lot of photos from F30 here. Just wondering how much difference are there between F10, F11 and F30 in terms of picture quality?

from review, it was mentioned that there is a marginal improvement with the F30.
