LOL .. why the burgler even bother to waste time removing the content from box .. isn't it going to be more time consuming and cumbersone?

something similar happens to my friend's shop here in indo
he sells PDA ( something like DOPOD etc )

no signs of burglar, but ....
amazingly, the box is still there, but the unit ( PDA ) is gone.
most of the cases, the box is still well packed, the unit still remains, but the battery was gone, the datacables gone, etc.
well, you don't checked inside out your PDA stocks everyday mah...
usually just count the boxes only...

    no report to police larr..

assuming ... who did this is his shopkeeper who just being fired larr

    beware!

probably they didnt wan the shop to realize the goods are gone so soon? then when reported, they alr run far far way lo.
leaving the boxes there make it look like the place has not been touched; assuming they off the lights, cleaned up and locked back the door tat is.

For your info, the boxes are strewn all over the place when the shopkeeper's assistant open the store.

i think its more a question of space than anything.. imagine if you had a duffel bag to dump all the stuff in - how many more bodies/ lenses can you squeeze in if you didnt have to carry the box...

Maybe last minute kan chiong, heard some voices, left in a hurry. This look more like an insider job to me or at least someone in the building got a part to play.

    CS now become CSI

ERR...I agree is more of a insider job as the burglar is lucid about the items he is taking.

Moreover, there are so many camera shops on the 1st floor, but only this shop, which is not as renowned as other shops on the first storey like A*** P****,becomes he victim

How do they scam you? Wait for you to pay money but don't deliver?

In most SEA countries, they'll just buy outright no questions asked.

Besides it'd be pretty stupid to advertise stolen goods here in CS, or anywhere in S'pore for that matter. Insurance companies hire PIs esp if its a large consignment.

And SPF actually offers rewards if you can provide info that leads to the arrest of such culprits... something like 10% of the value of the goods.
10% value of the single item stolen or 10% value of the total items that are stolen?

    I'd prefer the latter.

Maybe he is a kind & ungreedy burglar & only meant to take what he needs, but cannot find...
