When did you buy it? Is your ATI the X1600 model?

Couldnt remember .. but its all included in the 2.5k package ..

Just dun let them smoke u say wat dual chan requires ram of same size or internal ram (inside KB) cannot be changed or upgraded ...

Prior doesnt not make significant performance boost shall both ram be of same size ... and the later is crap ... for vendors (servers) like myself cant be bothered to stick the warranty void sticker each time I do repair ...

1.5 GB ram is minimal when u r running oracle servers ... anyway this is a demo set for our Oracle 10g solution ...

    Cheers

I don't think this is true. Two of my friends who own IBM thinkpads have swapped their harddisks for higher capacity ones shortly after they bought their notebooks. One has even swapped back the original harddisk when he had to send the machine back to IBM for repairs. He swapped back after the repairs to his higher capacity HDD.

Maybe you don't know how to do it?

Lenovo (previously called Legend) from China bought over IBM last year or so. They retained the right to use the ThinkPad name. Hence, you see the machines now being marketed as ThinkPads.

About 3 months ago, I bought the Dell Inspiron 6400 with the following specs:

    ® Duo Mobile technology Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2300 (2MB Cache, 1.66 GHz, 667MHz FSB)
    1024MB DDR2 SDRAM 533 MHz
Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950™ up to 128MB of shared system memory
(I think the shared memory is now higher for latest Dells)

I find that many games require either a NVIDIA or ATI Radeon graphics card. The Intel GMA 950 is supposed to be on par with some of these graphics cards but I cannot figure out the equivalent. The Intel GMA 950 specs are set out here: http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/index.htm

Anyway, I bought the machine and found that so far, it could play all my games including:-

COMMAND & CONQUER - THE FIRST DECADE
Video: DirectX 8.1 compatible video card
Sound: DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Hardware Transform & Lighting capable video card with 32MB or more memory, and one of these chipsets is required:
NVIDIA GeForce 2 or greater; ATI Radeon 7500 or greater

    STAR WARS- EMPIRE AT WAR
32MB 3D graphics card which can handle Transform & Lighting capability
    100% DirectX 9.0c capability
ATI Radeon 7200/7500 family; NVIDIA GeForce 256/2/3/4 family

    Not sure about Counterstrike.
