Not sure if as an advertiser, you have the right to send this PM to me?
No doubt i have post a thread in the consumer corner asking for a ROM photographer but i stated my friend email in it.I even post saying she found 1 and requested for that thread to close.
If you need to advertise, would kindly you do so in Services Offered / Wanted corner.

I guess he may not have realised that the thread is closed/you have already found a photographer/videographer. The way I see it, he's just dropping you an enquiry (via pm), which you could have replied (via pm) to let him know the status. That would close the matter quite nicely, wouldn't it?

I'm just wondering .... is this thread necessary?

Dropping me an enquiry? which part sounds like one?
It just sounds aggressive marketing to me.

Anyway,case close.
Thanks for upping my thread.

Canon pay for their own marketing, they don't spam you as in sms you without you subscribing to them.
The thing is does the admins/mods allows advertisers to PM members this way?
I'm sure that's what the Services Offered / Wanted corner is for.
If you would like to compare it this way,i have nothing to say.

We do not allow PM spamming, but the things we should consider in this case are:

1. There is no indication that kenele is mass PM-ing. So far it seems like you are the only one who received such a PM. If there are other members who received such unsolicited PMs please notify the mods or admins...via PM also please.

2. You did post an ad asking for ROM photography service, no doubt on behalf of a friend, and the PM came after you have indicated that a photographer has been found. Without hearing kenele's explanation, I will give the benefit of doubt that the PM is a response to your service wanted post.

As such, I would like to make a gentle reminder to kenele to check carefully before you send PM to members offering your services.

To zaxh81, I think it is time to let this matter rest and move on. The tone of the PM was very civil and does not seem like high pressure marketing to me under such circumstances.

Thanks!

- Roy
