Default CWB on the Referee's shorts

Hi all,

I was having a chat with the camera tech at Canon today and mentioned that I will be taking photo's at an up coming football match.

He mentioned that a Pro photographer once said to him, "do a CWB on the Referee's shorts", because they are the whitest thing on the field.

I had a chuckle. But, I guess there could be some truth to it.

Have you ever heard something similar ?

By the way, this is a night match "flood lit"

Cheers

Pls do take note that not all referees wear white. IMO most of them are black.

Hi Snoweagle,

Yeah, I am not a follower of referees and their shorts,
but I guessed that their would be some with different dress sense

I think that the guy was referring to a particular type of football where the ref always wears white shorts.

The whole idea sounded funny when it was said,
but I could assume that some would have their shorts whiter than white "as in the O*O" advert

I thought it was an interesting observation none the less. And it was given by a long time football photog.

Cheers

Refs in AFL wear white top paired with black pants right?

Basically, it was a field experience and I must say this was a pretty practical idea - if the ref happen to wear white shorts that night.

Filter paper or even Expodisc would do all right, isn't it?

erm.. but the guy would have to be quite close for you to cover the whole frame...

be quite funny to see one right in front of the camera getting photographed..
