Default On/Off button of D30/D60

D30/D60 owners, are you happy with the on/off switch? I find mine to be a little too loose. I usually put the cam lens up in the bag, and at times when I take the cam out, I'd find the switch flicked to "on" already, and I was pretty sure I switched it off before putting it in the bag. It's quite irritating actually. So is the switch inherently loose, or did I get a bad unit? Or maybe I shouldn't place the cam lens up anymore?

Put the camera into the bag lens-down, it's more accessible that way anyway.

Or use a Nikon, which has a better designed switch than that fiddly small knob on the left side.

I'm using the cheapo canon cloth bag, doesn't allow me to place the cam lens down cos no support.

maybe it's time to get a new bag? hiak hiak hiak hiak.....

I do agree that the switch is really badly designed. It looks so flimsy I feel like I may twist it off one day.

Yeah, probably need a new bag.

Does the thing auto off? If so, leave it ON lar. Then anytime you need, just tap the shutter.....

yes it does auto-off. I just don't feel happy that the little weeny switch flicks on all the time.

thanks zip, although you are almost 2-3 months late.

It's a D30 lor, 2nd hand. Still can't justify a 3.6k camera, so settled for the next lowest which is much more affordable. 3MP is quite good enough for me.

Haha like that I'm also late in congratulating you on your S2!

Problem solved, I just got a toploader as Christmas present! Chosen by me, paid by me not, hehe.
