taken with trix, scanned with canoscan fs2710.

pls comment on the color tone, better in color, b&w, or sepia (or what i am trying to ps to in this photo).
    thanks.

I don't see much. The composition is a little boring. Change angle to avoid the railings and maybe position the binoculars to an angle instead of flat, then we can see where the binoculars are pointing to.

Another thing is that the specks of dust have been magnified due to the scanning process, and they can be seen quite clearly. photoshop them away?

    angle the bino .

the dust is from the scanner i think. didn't ps away because i find it "nice" since i wanted this shot to look old. that is way i ps it to sepia. but sure it will work though.

    thanks for your comment xray.

There is not enough contrast between the binoculars and the buildings. The railings are distracting too.

seems like most comment i get for the photo posted (not only this one) is contrast not enough. can it be due to my eyes are very sensitive to brightness (so the doctor told me), so i tends to tone down my photos?

so when you guys adjust contrast, do you adjust it as a whole
or mask certain part and do it part by part?

Nice, where did you take the photo? I don't remember any observation platforms around the area...
