Good shots....guess u never use Flash for all the shots....becos most of the models are not exposed with flashes... but the gowns looks great in detail...

You are not correct on this note though... flash was used, but as a fill in to get the details on the gowns. As I was shooting for the gown company, and therefore the focus was indeed on the gowns and not the models. But the crap lighting conditions (coloured lights were used on stage instead of the standard runway light setup) made it really hard to get the colours right.

Thanks and glad you like the images. Cheers.

All manual mode. Manual focusing as well. Shot on a monopod.

But again, there is only one area that you can focus totally in this crap lighting condition, and this is about the gowns, not the models.

Very nice photos. Sharp and crispy. Much better than bridal shows over in Singapore. Models are so fantastic and stunningly beautiful.

Have good variation of full length to close up.

Gowns have full of details.........I like it very much. One of the best bridal fashion walkway photos I have seen for a long time.

Are you based in HK?

Thanks for the encouragement. Have not done runway for a long time, so it was pretty challenging.

Yes, I am based in HK. This is the one place where you do not need super tele lenses to shoot runway shows because everything is so darn tight and crammed. Shortest runway I have seen in a major event. A new experience for me altogether.

The "standard" there definitely better than here.
Something our local organizers should consider instead of importing from some "mat saleh" countries.

Don't speak too soon. Their models cannot walk as good as our local talents, and their best are from.... Singapore! (Carrie Models are so active here in HK, kudos to them). Also, if you are only for beautiful models... go look in Beijing, not HK. There, you find beautiful women who are also confident on the runway... if their English is better, they would have domniated the world.

Lighting condition indoor especially colourful lights are veri challenging....your focus on the gown is a good choice especially when the main aim is on the Bridal Gown....

Shortest runaway? Haha....last year I was shooting on one of the longest runaway - 80 feet which was a hair show. Now for that a minimum of 70-200 lens is needed. I guess you are shooting with the same lens?

You are right, I always try to add a little warmth to the skin tones. Might have overdone it. LOL.
