Veri irritating happening but i also need some C&C

#1: Dun noe why is it so dark, any good tips?

#2: Feel that this has too much noise, any good advise to reduce them?

#4: blocking by some 'pigs', i think they should not be so selfish and also should cut their size down

#6: big stars really that a long time (even with the fact that she was there 1hr before le)

also useless...

better get a DSLR, then buy the strongest flash, the biggest telephoto lens, then have a better attitude...

its inevitable that ppl will wanna have a view of a star, if you think they are blocking, think the ppl behind you will also think the same about you... so wat if you are the one in the front row? u go prone then get low angle shots? shoot the table cloth or something?

cos the external flash for P&S i think have very limited reach, and not powerful enuff...

what i think is,

if u obviously know u have bad pictures, why bother to post up one whole series of bad pictures? what kind of C&C do u expect to get?

i simply do not understand the point of u posting this whole bunch of pictures at all

Actually I say being early won't get good view at all....look at those ppl crowding ard rainie....make blood boil when ppl below are trying to catch a glimp of rainie.....

i second that. i dont think there is anything to comment about the pictures., you should just delete them ann try shooting again. it;s not like you need a little improvement here or there...the whole lot just dont make the cut at all. sorry for being so frank( if that is the comments that you like to here) the pictures are terrible.

i think you should just shoot your friends and family members until you know the cam beter then go shoot stars...if not waste all your time queueing and get frustrated w the results

OTing, did anyone that went there see this giant flash gun? it was on level 2 right next to me. the ppl there damm pro looking. got laptop some more.

anyway, i think ur quening up is no use also. as i told my fren when we were standing on lvl 2 that day, when she come, everyone stand up also kanna block. plus the in house photographer will block as well.

best is stand a bit higher. but i also kanna block, by someone beside me lah.

maybe u can try standing higher next time? and get s DSLR with a powerful zoom? than u will need to stage at a place that u can place tripod liao.

I can feel that alot of ppl are doing all sorts of things to try to get the best shots...besides having to use ladder or long zooms...

Err... if good picts are posted i dun think he will be asking for c & c, which is for not so good or presentable picts, but maybe he will be asking for other c which is compliment.

In this case here, i think he is asking for C & C so that he can improve on his next shot if he were to encounter the same challenges the next time round.

I believe this is the purpose of this forum which is for us newbie or those who dun know much to learn from the experts n more experience guys around!

I agree maybe its his way of asking n pharsing which may pissed some of us off but i do not see this as a major issue, we are all here to learn mah...

So guys no hard feelings ok?

Is that a flash gun? I tot it was a strobe (spelling correct?) They r pro alright thier rice bowl mah so gt eveything all set up! Most important is they are all crazy about Rainie

on reading this ...

1) i sense that it's more of a rant than an honest request for C&C ...

2) i second the fact that you shouldn't expect alot from a small P&S w/o ext. flash and poor zoom lens brightness (f-stop) in this kind of situation

3) ask yourself what you are trying to say in the photo? (i.e. whats the point of posting the back-view of that 'most irritating gina'? ... to get us to sympathise with you?)

4) as for noise, pana cameras seem to have a bigger noise issue ... live with it. it's mostly due to the small CCD ...

5) i believe you can use an external flash with it on 'slave' mode ... but it'll be pretty tough to get the correct flash exposure, (cos there are no manual functions on the cam and the flash does not really sync with the camera but with your built in flash)

6) you don't plan on getting a dslr cos u'll be going into NS in a year's time? ... here's a solution, buy a very cheap 2nd hand 300D or E300 and a flash, learn on it for 1 year ...then sell it off to another learner when/before you enter NS.... of course you may have to sell the cam cheaper ... and 'lose' some money, but what electronic does not depreciate? .. besides, the money 'lost' will be earned back in NS, but the experience gained can't be gained w/o a camera with manual functions that you can learn on ...

or

7) get a prosumer with decent manual functions and learn on it. get it 2nd hand, probably won't depreciate much when u sell it off before NS ..

Think it might help if u lower the ISO to about 200 or 100 to over come the noise and use flash to help ease the darkness!

I think got to be more sensitive to the surrounding n environment (which i learn from fellow CSERs here) basically is the lighting and weather.

Yday during the interview which is bright and sunny u need a different setting then the one during the autograph n singing session gloomy weather.

So everytime before u shoot be light sensitive...
ps: i still learning correct me if i m wrong! Thanks in advance!
