Good news for those waiting for 5600HSD.. the remodel Number is Sony HVLF56 which has a guide of 56. (Which 5600HSD naming for).

Same goes for 3600HS for Sony HVLF36...

It is a Photo shop job. Either somebody is fooling around or the People in Sony did not "Photoshop" the lenses well. Have a look at 500MM lens the word "Minolta" appears on the fron part of the lens.

Y....., y Sony wan 2 copy KM design. Y it dun have it own ideas. I will stick with my 5D and all my minolta lenses. Even if my camera die i will not go sony, i will prefer 2 switch 2 other brands

KM was bought over by sony, of course they can use the KM design..

hehehe why whack the sony DSLR so badly when you havent even seen an image from that new 10MP sensor?

IF sony bought over the KM, and the KM mount and lens already work well, why change? If i were sony, i'll also do what they did, improve upon what's already good. Why change if it ain't broken?

Who knows, the new 10MP sensor maybe as good as the canon CMOS? They may have improved the image processing algorithms, or maybe improved the buffer speed etc?

Lens wise, guess they are new to designing DSLR lens, and the easiest thing to do is of cuz to rebadge and release KM lens. When the sony engineers have understood the KM mount well enough, you should start seeing some revolutionary sony lens designs coming up soon....maybe even some Carl Zeis branded AF lens designed by Carl Zeis, made by sony

guess all i wannna say is, shld see what the new Sony (KM) DSLR and lens system is capable of before bashing it

KM is still producing the cameras and lenses, just that sony is providing the marketing and the name to the equipment. btw what's wrong with rebranding minolta lens?

If u can't understand it from a consumers point of viewing on 'copying design', maybe u shld start to reexamine the issue from a BUSINESS POINT OF VIEW.

Nothing wrong, in fact minolta lens by themselves are great but do it a bit more professionnaly....
