I've just realized there is a faint black spot on all images taken with my D30. Didn't exist last time. Could it be due to the CMOS being dirty? I read from the manual that I can clean the D30's CMOS imaging element. However, it strongly recommended that I send it to the Canon pple to do it.
Is it really necessary or should I do it myself? Not too difficult right? Just use a blower? Thanks. |

Thanks xmen. Oh wow, I didn't know it has to be in a dark environment. Otherwise, the CMOS can be damaged?
I changed lenses quite often so yah the mirror did get exposed but for a short while each time. BTW, how does the mirror affect the CMOS imaging element? |

take a look at this
http://www.photosol.com there is this thing that looks like a spade.... it cost $180 at cathay... but the same and cheaper way to do it is to buy the eclipse solution for $18, it comes with 18 pieces of tissue, it is the same material used for the one that cost $180... so what you do is to cut them up and build your own "spade" done
