This guy did for like 2 mins, then ran off to shelter

This guy stayed put, couldnt remember if he had a camera or not

And then this is one of my shots from the pouring rain

    It was wonderfully fun!

Shooting in the rain is shooting. But what is the and your PURPOSE in shooting in the rain?

The point of any photo is not about when and where u are shooting, the point is WHAT u are shooting.

I did, when I was still using an E-1 with the weather-proof Zuiko lenses... no problems at all.

A plastic bag works quite well, does not cost a lot, and is easy to pack and carry.

I think they are called "storm chasers"? usually they chased after the lightning storms, big winds, dramatic darkening of skies those sort of stuff.

I haven't heard of them locally but there are professional storm chasers in US that capture these videos/pictures for stock video/photo sites.

try it this way, unscrew the UV filter, put camera in ziploc bag, screw uv filter on, cut out the circular plastic in front of lens. voila, a waterproof camera.
