i also got the lexar 2gb card. something weird about it thought. My laptop can recognise it fine using the supplied card reader, and transfer speeds are great, but it can't be read by my laptop's built in SD card reader.
There's nothing wrong with my laptop though, works fine with any other SD card I have. I also noticed that using my other card reader, the file reading and transfer speed using this 2gb 133x sd card became very slow.... Seems that it only works well using the supplied lexar reader....wonder y.... any ideas?

just bought the 2gb sd lexar. read the fine print and it appears that some readers/cameras may not support this sd card
has anyone used the 2gb sd lexar with the ixus 800 and does it work? |

I think the ixus 800 will work just fine with a normal speed SD card. I had used mine with a normal speed, and everything worked very fast and zippy.
Perhaps the only improvement in speed will come from the saving of video clips into the memory card. I noticed the ixus always needs a few seconds to save the clips after you stop shooting the video. Ixus does not have raw mode, so it does not benefit as much from the high speed cards.
