Came across this rather interesting site on Lifehacker.http://digital-photography-school.co...igital-camera/
"One of the common problems that many new digital (and film) photographers have is ‘camera shake’ where images seem blurry - usually because the camera was not held still enough while the shutter was depressed." PS: The other info links on the site don't seem to be working tho. 2 Jun 06 Update: As mentioned by cerebrus, the other links on the site are working. And its pretty informative. Thanks for sharing.
"Another quick bonus tip - before you take your shot take a gentle but deep breath, hold it, then take the shot and exhale. The other method people use is the exact opposite - exhale and before inhaling again take the shot. It’s amazing how much a body rises and falls simply by breathing - being conscious of it can give you an edge." Military training. But it works. =) |

For those who wants a more steady hold and dont like to use tripod, this may be a good solution. I have yet to try it out but the theory seem to work.

basically, if you are going to be using the lcd monitor to frame your shots, there will be more handshake than using the viewfinder. This is because your hands will be extended and will thus be harder keep still.
Even with conventional cameras where framing is through the viewfinder, a good practice is to tuck your arms firmly into your body. |

keep elbows close to body, hold handgrip and make sure viewfinder is supported by forehead, take a breath, hold breath, shoot, release breath, done.
