Default Is the IR shot normal?

My first IR shot using D70. Is the cyan color normal?



Shooting Data:
WB: Pre
F Stop: 14
Expo Time: 5 sec
ISO: 200

Hi there,

The Sepia tint at the background shows correct White Balance setting. But for the Cyan tint, it may be slightly overexposed.

What mode are you shooting in?

In manual mode. Any web site I can learn more on IR post processing?

This may be of help to you


Care to tell your f/ stop and shutter speed. The pic seems to be over exposed. Look at the trees of your posted pic, the trees have an excessive tint of Cyan in them. Tell tale signs of over exposure.

f/stop = 14 and exposure time is 5sec.

Hi there,

Just some thought for discussion to prevent overexposure.

For me, I usually shoot in Aperture Mode at f8 and cover the viewfinder to prevent light leakage to give a me good exposure reading. Hope tha you can give it a try.

i think it's time for a sensor clean. Can see dust spot at f14?
