is it overpriced?

I'll probably pay not more than $70 for one of those. Unless it had a recent CLA and everything looks pristine, it won't be worth more than $70 to me. Prices on these classic cams are very subjective and the tolerance levels vary greatly from buyer to buyer.

A lot of work manufacturing it.
Nowadays fancy hamburger can cost $110.
China girl hostess at fancy ktv may sniff at a tip of $50 and say so little you keep it for yourself. So you figure out the value of $.

Like I said, there's quite a large price variance. The market for such cameras isn't that large here so prices aren't set in stone. In the US where trades of such cameras are more common, there are defined price levels which most transactions will adhere to. But even at a premium, US sales of this camera are never conducted beyond the SGD 70-90 range. I really wouldn't pay more than SGD 100 over here. As a guide, I sold my broken down Canonet for $20 not too long ago.

about price, i have done some research too. and thats why i'm suprised that it can be so high here and in malay, whereas in other neighbouring country the price is still low.

Agree that no fixed price. And no fixed quality either.
You could have paid little and got a fantastic unit or paid a lot and got a lemon.

I have paid US$30+ to US$40+ (~S$70+) for the GIII before from eBay and the camera isn't as good as described -- got problem but too bad no returns. Best is buy from someone you know (or reputable) or you can see and try out the camera before buying. Not worth spending extra money to do the CLA. As we may not be using film so often.

BTW - if I am not wrong, your broken Canonet is the first Canonet made in 1961. 2 million of those were made. A working one can be got for around US$10. I got mine for lesser -- AU$10.
