A lil more to the right and the composition would have been immaculate

Yup I totally agree. Very nice composition, very nice perspective. Only gripe is about the building sticking out of the left frame...

seems like most ppl think that this was a great shot taken with good composition. now im not trying to question anyone here, but as an amateur, i would like to know why this picture gets the thumbs up. just trying to learn, thanks if anyone could point out the good points.

maybe i should share my thoughts on this picture...
there seems to be many subjects in this picture, i always thought its best to keep it to a single subject... or am i wrong here? also, the picture seems a bit flat to me... hmmm..... ok, that was my 2 cents. SMEs pls come in now ![]() |

the picture is flat (and tiny might i add which makes for uncomfortable viewing). a better time of day or a curve adjustment might bring out more contrast. and certainly clone out the tips of buildings at the bottom right, that's just untidy. |

U can download photomatix from www.hdrsoft.com to generate HDR images. CS2 can do HDR but i prefers the effect from Photomatix.

I wanted to create a image that makes the viewer 'look up' thus creating the sense of height. This pic is taken at 10mm and at near sunset, which makes the clouds more contrasty.
