WTF? my ex-50mm f/1.8

I was doing some MF and then it went "tik" and the front part fell out!
It's not even a mth old!
Will wty cover this?

Which front part? As long it's part of the lens, I suppose the warranty will cover it.

erm the entire front part...
the lens only two elements, and a motor in between. How do I know? guess...

Jez asking the obvious but you were not trying MF when the switch was on AF I hope.
Yah, warranty shd cover. Anyhow Canon Sg has been very very helpful to me. Cust svcs is exc++ here so shd be no probs.

O yah, btw you can ask them to extend warranty by 1 mth or so. Ask for 1 yr warranty from the date they fix the len. They oblige for me.

no lah of cos... was so happy with the AF speed that I hardly used MF... used it cos I tried dual exposure with the nice moon now... then nor tripod had to use wallet as sandbag...I thought how come not very smooth ah? rotate rotate rotate KRUK, how come 50mm look like 15mm ah?
