Not sure if this had been reported.. ut I have seen the SIGMA SD9 being display at Fotoguide... It has a full set of lens to go with it...
Didn't check the price though. |

Number of SD9s sold in Singapore - I'm guessing close to zero...?
I hope the SD9 doesn't cause financial ruin to Sigma. We'll miss their good and cheap lenses if they go bankrupt. Best for them to stick to core competencies ![]() |

I also saw SD9 in MS colour in their shop display wrapped in plastic. Size wise I think is as big as S2pro. I think for 3.6k no one will buy this body especially this camera using Sigma's SA mount, which fated to doom! For that price people wil opt for D100/D60/S2pro. I think Sigma should revise their price, below 3k then they may able to capture market. From DPreview if I am not wrong this camera only can shoot at RAW no Jpeg mode...another draw back......

How much is teh lens then? if teh body is expensive. The lens is cheaper than Nikon/canon/*** sigma make. It chould generate enuff interest for people to buy.

Beep beep... it's the price updater....
Fotoguide quoted $3.3k for the SD9 body alone. Or $4320 with a 15-30mm Sigma lens. Price checked 6pm 20th Dec 2002 ![]() |
