Hi jcho,

Looks like you have a hot spot.

Are you using the kit lens that came with your 300D ?

If you are looking for a good lens that is not expensive for your camera and will not give a hot spot, try the 50mm mkII.

A little restricting due to it being a fixed length, but gives very good IR pix.

your eyes are sharp, I using the 17-40mm L lens, I have forgotten to cover the viewer
