This is something that I do not understand. With image rotation on, upon transfering to computer, files in windows explorer and PS CS are NOT rotated at all.
To my surprise, under Picasa2 and a free program too, images are rotated correctly and so saves me a step in reviewing my pic. Wonder what is the explanation to this. ![]()

OT-ing, didnt like this to be on, cos it makes the image very small on the lcd. I use CS2, and it has option to rotate the image.

So I believe the D70 should be able to achieve the same. |

There are 2 items in the menu:
1 Image rotation - On - it applies to the file 2 Rotate tall - On - it applies to viewing the pix on the LCD. BTW, I am shooting jpg and not raw. I am still puzzled.

The orientation is being captured in the EXIF for compatible cameras. It's up to the respective software to interpret the EXIF file and display accordingly.

for me when the pic(raw/jpg) open in CS/NC it will auto rotate.(viewing in the windows is not)
