Default Speeding up the focusing on the D200

Just wondering if there's any DIY or 3rd party boost for the D200 focusing speed? changing the gearing or motor? hee

Anybody heard of anything like that?

You feel like voiding your camera's warranty?

Just buy AF-S lenses. The SWM (silend wave motor) is inside the lenses and are not linked to drive motor on the body.

Hmmm.... not fast enough?

I have never felt it to be slow. As espn mentioned, such mods if exist in the first place will void warranty...
