Default Is 3rd party battery good?

I'm confused..... should I get Original Canon or 3rd Party Battery?
If so, which brand?

Please advise.

Hmm... I've got a 3rd party battery for my Minolta. No problems whatsoever. Lasts the same, if not slightly longer than the originals.

As long as it doesn't short out the circuitries or melt instantly when I turn it off causing a fire, I'm fine with it.

If u're worried abt all those 'scary tales' u heard abt 3rd party batteries, den buy original loh.

Just an update, scud drop by EastGear showroom today.

As scud does not have his receipt with him, we check the BP511 battery label, and found the battery to be around 2.5 years old, which is over the warranty period of 6 months.

Apart from the wear and tear which causes the battery casing to split apart, his BP511 battery is still working good after 2.5 years of use.

EastGear has assisted scud to assemble his BP511 casing back FOC.

If any other users have any problem with our batteries, please let us assist you in rectifying the issues.
