Saw one selling at Vision 1 (opposite Sim Lim Square) and was quoted $2650 for the body.

B&H's price is great at the moment, about same price as people sell used here. You guys should check out www.keh.com as well. I got my 50mm F2.0 Macro there at an incredible price. |

I agree with you. Not knowing about the technology and brand loyal etc allows them to look at it from a pure "picture viewer" perspective. If both camera are handled by the same photographer (assuming skill/knowledge on handling both camera equally good) then that comment say something about pictures coming out from Olympus.
Not very scientific, but I am afraid this is one unexplained reason that some of us choose Oly despite unable to quantify it. The world need not be perfect to be beautiful ![]() <So does the camera and the picture....>

They are totally reliable, no worries. Reputation wise, they are up there with B&H. Do note that many other dealers are actually even cheaper but are not trustworthy (especially those located in Brooklyn). They will show that there is stock online but after you have ordered and the $$ is deducted from your credit card, they will tell you no stock and ask you to exchange for other items you don't need. I bought the 50mm F2.0 as a friend who stays in US as he is flying in soon. He has received the 50mm F2.0 lens and it is totally brand new. Also comes with 1year international warranty by Olympus so there is no problems and I get to save >S$250. That is cheaper than buying used here. ![]() |
