Default Using LSII with speedlight

To those who have used LSII on any nikon flash. When the LSII is mounted on the flash with your flash pointing 60 degrees, does your flash drops to the zero degree position with a small shake on it?

This happen to me and i believe it is the weight of the LSII that caused it. With no LSII mounted, the flash dun "drop" with a small shake. Was wondering if my flash is loose or it happens to everyone.

Gary Fong roxxxxxxxx!! he's the GURU!!!

LS PJII is the way to go! go Gary go!!!!!

yeaps, the PJII is pretty heavy esp. with the inverted dome attached.
as for the earlier version, the classic LSII, the same thing happens and it is much more prone to dropping off from ur flashgun.

mine drops too..

anyway i thot it was intended to be use pointed 90 degress up.

if u try other angles, the light effect may not be too good.

My SB600 can hold the LS2 with inverted dome @ any angles. It's tight and firm; but sometimes when do the quick shot, the LS2 also can fall off. But nothing compares the natural tone given to this LS2, personally I love it. Especially for indoor portraiture.

have tried tried shooting w both..seriously except for portrait mode, you dont get too much of an improvement. i use the omni bounce more cos the PJII looks dam huge and kinda troublesome to bring out too....tho results is good at portrait mode

Drops on my sb800 too. :P

Quite a hassle, happen during an event and the whole thing drop out.

I agree on this, have been using my SB-800 diffuser though I still own the LSII, which I will probably use only for high-ceiling situations and portraits.

sorry OT a bit... do you guys use the SB-800 diffuser + the PJII together?

Another question, When the diffuser sits on the SB800, the lens cannot control the flash output right? It is always set to default 14mm I think. As there's a little catch that the diffuser attached to. So must the PJII sit on the SB800 to activate that same catch to achieve better results?

Thanks!
