It’s pretty bulky. Feel very uncomfortable. Always bumped to people when in a packed bus or MRT.

Even if you want... I don't think you can find it. I've also been looking, been sold out for quite awhile already. CP also cannot confirm when the new shipment is arriving (maybe end of the month they say?)

The smaller slingshot 100AW is in stock though

Saw it at AP funan and was quoted $89. Looks nice with the single sling behind but overall it's a gd bag.

If people say Slingshot 200 is too bulky and you agree, why not try Slingshot 100??? That is considerably smaller. In fact, I almost bought one today. Unfortunatly I could not get my E-500 with 14-45 on cam + 40-150 to fit into the bag in a satisfactory way. Salesman actually helped me and agreed it was not very good. With the 40-150 on cam it is OK, but I don't want to pay so much for a bag with that limitation. I found also the 200 too bulky, so I did not want that. It looks as it is going to be a shoulder bag again.

Yes, you might have a serious problem with long lens if you choose the slingshot100

initially i am looking for slingshot 200AW when it just imported by cathayphoto, fortunately, when I reach the shop, the 1st batch only left 1 (already reserved).
i found this bag is heavy, narrow, cannot be so stable on your back when you are turn your body, running, the bag will move. and the disadvantage is also the capcity of the bag. the bag is bulky but you can only put few equipments inside.
then i try to look for other alternatives.
tamrac velocity 9 and 7 seem to be my best choice.
it is much lighter, got waist belt, the most important is you can put a lot of stuffs inside.
really a lot. but if lowepro's protection is too good to be bulky, then tamrac i feel the protection is a little little bit weak.

try TKfoto for that bag. velocity 7 is sufficient if you do not have long tele lens.

try this web site http://www.cambags.com/

Got a Sling Shot 200AW. All my gears (see below) easily fit in + plus blower, batteries and other little stuffs or just my 30D with 17-85mm. Good for biking. Stop, take out, shot, put back and off you go.

Take your gears and try it at the shop. Then you can decide.

Rgds

I agree, I tested it in the shop but found, that since I already have two big shoulderbags, the 200 is just a third big one and I don't need that. 100 would be perfect as a small one if it was about 3cm(!) bigger for my needs.

I almost selling it away when I first got the bag because the pressure on my right shoulder is quite painful. However as time passes, I have got more use to it and it is less painful. Problem with a backpack is I tends to dump everything into it and cause it to be rather heavy. Nowaday I use the slingbag more as the restriction makes me think if I need to bring so many things along.
