Hi guys, please help me out...which brand of Bag should i be getting: Lowepro or Tamrac?
I've heard that Tamrac's bag quality is better than Lowepro? Anyone have any alternative views? |

I'm using both. Can't actually pinpoint which is better. I like both.

If Lowepro comes up with something as useful to me as the Velocity 9, I'll be willing to pay a little premium for a better badge. Love my Lowepro Rolling Computrekker AW! Solid build and looks good, too. |

I prefer Lowepro Bags but for Filter Pouches or casing, I prefer Tamrac.

I had 2 lowpro....nova 3 & topload zoomAW....I liked the design & functionality.
My aged nova 3 had dandruff...the water proofing coating peel off / disintegrating & contaminating my equipment. My Topload had lining, so not problem except for insufficient space. I hesitated on Rover AW, as part of the flaps are not lined, afraid it will peel. Crumpler very stylish & good design, snob appeal, etc but too expensive.... I chanced upon Sports Connection's own brand "Urban Equip", haversack, with bottom camera compartment laptop compartment, zip under straps, similar to Crumpler haversack, not very huge though (compact & stylish).....full lining surfaces inside, no exposed coating....can put DSLR mounted w 70-300 APO, plus 2 or 3 lenses, just keep the flash in the accessory zip pocket. only disadvantage is no accessory expension & no mesh pocket for lense cap, etc. best part is the price, I only paid $34/- (promo)The saving can be put into equipment instead, e.g. 50mm or batt grip or extra batt, or top up on lense upgrade, etc. For the price, the functional utitlity & reasonable quality is enough to serve the purpose....until my equipment & usage need changes. |

How does the Urban Equip compared with Lowepro Orion Trekker II? Would like to try out some others brand do. Share with us how you think about your bag. Thanks! |

I think Tamrac better. The Tamrac Velocity is my favourite series.

Try this.
www.thinktankphoto.com The key item to their product line is the Pro Modulus system - it's the one and only modular belt system that can allow me to move my items all around, and change my lenses fast. http://www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_Mo...od_Configs.php http://www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_ProMod_Others.php There is no local agent, but the best part is the service via email. I'm bowled over by them. |
