I'm confused of whether buying Sony P9 or Canon v3 is value for money. And also, I would like to know whether Sony P9 is afterall a good camera for a prosumer.?

I think they both belong to the class of consumer DC.

Best bet is to get the V3 for it style and cheaper storage.

As far as I know.. it def cheaper to get 256MB CF then to get a 256MB MS.

i just got a v3 recently...less than 3 weeks old...quite a nice, sleek digi...can just slip into any small handbag that i'm carrying...the only cons is that it only comes with 16mb...i hv to fork out another $90 to get a 256mb cf...
btw, i got it at a lower price...think $730 is abit high...i got mine for $700...ap is selling for $690....

So when are you going to put that camera of yours to good use by taking a proper shot of that diamond ring?

256mb MS = 2x128mb MS. Cos Sony still hasn't come up with a 1x256mb MS.

Also, the new memory stick Pro, which starts from 256mb then 512mb, 1GB capacity, MIGHT not be compatible with the older Sony devices!

So, it's definitely V3 here. No doubts at all!

Of course.

Anyhow, don't worry abt taking bad shots. Just keep shooting and learn from your mistakes and when you are ready, you can try the ring shot again.

But of course, my offer of helping you shoot the ring and have it for "safe keeping" is still on.
