Default E1 kit set in thailand

hi, my friends told me he saw the E1 kit set in thailand(E1 body and 14-54 lens) is $1600 include international ems fee. does it cheap enough? I also want to buy E330, in china, the E330 body is about $1000, which choice is better?

Do you need to shoot in the rain ? if not, grab the E-330 kit first.
Using that cam opens up a new dimension in SLR photography

Totally agree. I have not had a chance to hand hold the E-330 but I can imagine it be like Nikon's swivel-body Coolpixes.
