Its supposed to be sarcastic dude... the "mother" in the picture is the family maid. It reflects on the issues with "modern families" when parents are so busy having to work so hard to put bread on the table that their children are left in the charge of family help. Not that I have anything against that, but when kids are growing up, that is the time when they bond with their parents, but in "modern families", this bond is instead moved to the family help, which leaves the child growing up confused.

There is no right or wrong here. Just something that reflects this era in time. How things have changed. Its sad, but that is life.

Agree with wat u said, maybe the pic might represent better if the pic is taken in front. a backshot shows nothing much, IMO.I cant tell if the lady is a househelp or sister or whoever.

Thanks for the advise. I was hoping that she would turn her head around for me so that it would be obvious, but she wouldn't... shooting her from the front would mean losing that cleaner background... the downside of street photography... no control on the environment.

I dont feel it either... maybe what tango meant to say is that it's hard to tell that she's a filipino or a loving mother, due to absence of facial expression from this backshot...

I dont feel the sarcasm either... because the backshot of the 'hugging' doesnt say much. No side-view? I try to do side-view shots sometimes if I cant successfully pull off shots from the front or back...

that patch of green & concrete also sorta overwhelms the 'mother' & 'child'
