Default Fujifilm S602 Battery life update...

Ok new record for me.

298shots @6MP/Fine on IBM 1GB Microdrive with external flash with a single set of Sanyo 1850mAh. EVF/LCD usage 50/50.

Shot from 1230PM to 3PM. Then from 5PM to 730PM when the batteries gave up.

Previously I could only do 180shots then 240shots.

Must be the NiMh getting to full strength. Strange, I've been cycling through 3 sets...charged them over 10times each..and I'm only getting full performance now.

CF card users would probably do better....

298 shots a day? You managed to take so many shots in a day? Impressive...

so many? is it even possible? Was it because of using the EVF? My 1850 lasted me at most 110 shots 3Mpix Fine all using LCD before it conked. No flash was used.

If using all LCD I definitely still get more than 110 shots. Are you using the Sanyo 1850 with a smart charger?

Do you recharge your batteries just before you leave for the shoot? That's what I do.

Could be because the previous times I shot till the batterie ran flat, I was on holiday...spanning 3 days, which explains the shorter battery life.

Falcon: Yep, I do take that many shots, experimenting with angles, lighting, exposure for each subject.

Aiyah, you cannot just count number of shots taken, because when the camera is on, it's also using up the batteries. For example, if you continuously take shots, you can take many more shots than if you just took one shot every minute while walking around with the camera on.

602z LCD and EVF can be used at the same time? I thought only either 1 at 1 time.
