S2 IS/S3 IS = built in IS on the lens
12x optical = 36mm to 432mm range
Not possible as the area is too small. Need to use slave flash with external brackets attached to the thread screw at the bottom of the cam.

I own the S2 IS and use and external slave flash of GN 28.

compare the gn28 of the slave flash, will the 580ex be able to use on this camera?????
the 580ex seems to have a stronger flash output....how to trigger the 580ex with this flash?pls advice.....the tele end 432mm looks interesting but will i be able to use the slave flash of gn28 to shoot an image from 432 indoor withthe highest iso available on the s2 or s3 eg iso800.pls advice...........

Can the 580ex act as a slave flash? I am not too sure of that.

The pop up flash can be controlled to output min or max depending on situation. To check, pop the flash up and go to the menu and you can see the flash mode go into it and change, but still a slave flash is better.

Using teleconverter cannot use the pop up flash liao.

See
www.lensmateonline.com for the 52mm/58mm silver metal adapter and the raynox brand of converters.
