Just set your f-stop to the lowest possible. Meaning f2.8 or lower.

1) use lowest f stop (if there are manual settings).
2) full zoom 3) close up All 3 steps together! ![]() |

search on google is as easy, if not, a better way for such info.
1. its already on the web. 2. the better articles can be more detailed than the posts in forums. |

I dun think the camera can manually select the focus point right?
This photo the focus is on the left side, the doll. On my dSLR, i can choose to focus there, the side & the face... dun think the Casio can. Or maybe the photo has gone thru some photoshop editing? Anyone have problem with their casio Exilim camera? Bought Z-60 & it has a problem. Not sure if it's becoz of the Lexar SD card the shop gave. It powers on but LCD is blank & it switches off after a moment & it doesn't want to be powered on again. Taking out the Lexar SD card, & the camera works. Pop it in same thing. Not yet tried with other SD card yet. Anyone have any idea? |

I know not long after Z-57 was released, it was discontinued to be replaced by Z-500. I asked MS Color & they said, it was a design issue, tat they discontinued it & to be replaced by Z-500.

Possible if the books weren't so near. Even using DSLR have to shoot with about 100mm macro lens wide open to get this.

Got macro mode? Try using it. I'm using a Z750, and such shots are *possible* (but the background wouldn't be as blurred as that shown; at most a teeny weeny bit OOF... unless it's damn far away)

yes. the subject is very close to the camera. you should be able to get the this kind of imagew a mini tripod to mount your cam and shoot at maco mode w timer without flash. just place the subj in a brightly lit area.
but if you are thinking of taking this kind of image w your subj ( human) far from the cam( say about 2 meters away), it can be a bit hard to get this kind of background bur cos the sensor for compact is small and the lens is actually wide, just that they use only the center portion of the image. you may still get this kind of image but the blur wont be so much i think., |
