I need your opinion and advice very badly

Sorry if this is a wrong place to start this thread - but HOW DO I GET A PHOTOGRAPHER OR THE PHOTO SHOOT ORGANISER TO PAY ME MONEY WHICH HE HAS OWED ME?

This person keeps on delaying payment eventhough I told him I really need the money - he has not paid me since March eventhough I had a few sessions of photo shoots with him - he claims that he lost a lot of money organising photoshoots which features models who are not local.

I don't want to be nasty but is there ANYTHING I can do - or at least to PREVENT such a thing from ever happening again in future?

get him to pay u directly after the shoot...dont let him cheat you!

Hi MauLovers,

You should claim the money what both of you has agreed for.....
If necessary, do everything at Black on White.....(Paper Signed....)

It is the Organiser problem if he/she lost the money.... Not You.....

They are the one who will make their profit as well as their lost......
and you get the portion what has been agreed for......

Once you have the paper signed.....
Then, The organiser will have long thinking not to pay you.....(you have all agreement written for.....)

Just to let you know,
What you have encountered is very common happening here in China......
that's why, everything has to be done on Paper......
otherwise the Model will refuse to participate.....

However,
If the organiser is you friends or someone you know well....
well, there is no need too official lah.....

This is only for organiser who you are not familiar with.....

to prevent such situation from happening, collect all payments before shoot. or else, clothings stay.

Agree.... That's also....a good move....
He/She will have a very bad name at least here in Clubsnap.....
and I think that will be the last shooting sessions He/she will organise !!!

while i do agree that shaming him would be just, i still do wonder how do we get the money out of him now? by law? by force? by writing things on the wall??

it's common in all freelance work.....it blows man...how? anyone with a tried and proven way? i need to know too....

Name him out! this at least cut out this part of his so called income... its not fair for you. He is obviously out to cheat... so... EXPOSE him!

I think I know who is the person. He cannot be trusted. His studio light was taken back because he did not pay the instalment.
Put his name on the clubsnap. All clubsnap members boycott his shooting session.
How can he bully the model. It is ashamed.
How can the model make sure you make profit.

Pls reveal the real person for the benefit of the rest...

it's hilarious how pple believe everything they read!!

not that i'm saying mau is lying.. but there is a difference between advising her of what she can do, and believing her until u start hating a person u have no idea who.

u know i can still advise her wat to do even IF i don't believe her?

my advice is: a lesson learnt. get it in black and white next time.

trust me lar.. even in black and white i'm having problems collecting money owed to me. i'm not saying this is the way that it should be, but it's just something we have to come to terms with.

This is indeed a very bad development. When I join a model shoot, I pay the organiser, and I expect the model to be paid. Without models, no shoot, organiser or no organiser.

Unfortunately, there are many bad sheeps out there. I personally know of another very popular model shoot organiser that failed to pay his model as agreed. This makes 2, a very unfortunate development.
