If u go thru' your 350D's instruction manual, there are actually 2 wireless remote controls for this camera - RC-1 and RC-5. The RC-1 can trip the shutter immediately or after a 2-sec delay, and the RC-5 trips the shutter after a 2-sec delay. There is also another model which trips the shutter after a 2-sec delay. This one is similar to the RC-5 but looks slimmer and can be hooked onto your camera strap with an easy release button when u need to use it. If u want to buy it, there is a forumer selling it in the "Consumers' Corner". I don't know whether he still has the stock. U can try to PM him if u are interested.

I'm using the RC1. Compared to other Canon dSLRs the 350D has the most no. of compatible wireless remotes so I don't see why you have any trouble finding 1... PPCP has one as well if I'm not mistaken.

Just an update here. I bought the remote from PPCP and it's working wonderfully well. Its 13bucks and it has both the instant shutter release and another button for the 2sec delayed release. And it's made in Japan (or at least the word japan is molded into the back cover of the remote). I'm very pleased with it. =) now to get a mini tripod. any recommendations?

Are u using the original strap? Actually, it's quite simle. At the back of the remote holder, there are two loops. Remove one side of your strap from the camera and pass the strap thru' the two loops before hooking the strap back to the camera. |

i'm using RC5. But something i notice is tat if you use tele-lens (e.g 75-300mm) the camera is juz too far to be controled. There is the limit of the distance
