Hey guys,
Ok, I accidentally washed my CF card because i left it in my pocket. Thank God there's no pictures in it. Is there anyway I can revive it? It was detactable in windows but somehow i can seem to format it. Please suggest! |

The CF card is very robust. I have heard of stories of ppl whose cards went thru the washing cycles lin the washing machine and it still worked fine after it had been dried. In your instance, you should dry it up and trying using it again. I am sure it will work fine again.

as mentioned it is very robust.
dry it well. leave it alone for a week or two to play safe.. and then you should be able to use it. |

As long as you dry it throughly it should give you problems. Just to be safe test it in on a card reader.

Dry it well, but NOT using heat dryer. The card is quite sealed. I have a friend, who washed the card in the washing machine, dried it first with tissue, blow the contacts with a blower, then into my dry cabinet for further few hours. Retrieved ALL images normally and still using card. From washing to image retrieval only 24 hours.
