Default Iran

Hi all,

Here are some photos that I would like to share from my 2 week trip to Iran. I'm no good photographer but due to the ongoing negative propaganda concerning this country at the moment, I thought it's probably a good idea to share with my fellow countrymen what this country is really like. Any questions, please feel free to post.

Hmmm...I get this question too from the airline counter staff and the policeman when I checked in at the airport. Just traveling....nothing else.

The trip cost me around SGD$1600 (including airfare). Iran is not a touristy country, and therefore travel costs are not that high. This is a good thing, as restricting the number of tourists retains the country's culture. Nope, no guide for me. I had to learn farsi (persian language) to communicate with the locals, but could still get around with english and sign language. The guidebook helped a lot as well....

Very nice shots. And very rare, too. Thanks for sharing.

When I was in Australia, I used to play football with some Iranians. They were very nice people.

Wow nice place.

Do you think it's safe to rent a car and drive around myself? Are roadsigns easy to read? Roughly how much is the car rental?

iranians drive on the left and iran also has the highest rate of traffic accidents in the world. a better idea would be to hire a private car with driver. if you can afford it, not that expensive. road signs are usually bilingual - english and farsi
