I am using them (AA type).
They do not lose charge like other rechargeable (this is the plus point).
They do not recharge the flash as fast as the good 2500mAh rechargeable (this is the minus point).

I asked someone to buy it from Japan.
I think it is also sold in Singapore now.

My personal recommendation
1) if you can wait, you may want to wait for Sanyo 2700mah batt
2) if you want it now and want good power, buy power ex 2500mah batt
3) if you want no discharge problem Or always forget to charge batt, buy eneloop.

FYI, I have both power ex 2500mah batt and eneloop.

I went to the Sanyo Service Centre this morning to troubleshoot my charger. They told me Eneloop will be launched in Singapore in a few weeks' time.

Btw, Eneloop is rated at 2000mAh and can be charged for up to 1000 cycles.

They told me normal 2300mAh ones last for 300 cycles and 2500mAh ones last for 200 cycles.

Hi, I am NOT trying to advertise, but its available in Singapore at www.OnlineShop.com.sg. Its $15.50 for a pack of 2AA. Moderator, if this is not correct, please move my post or delete it accordingly.

Why the Sanyo Eneloop doesn't comes in 2500mAh? Only 2000mAh, seems insufficient.

post #2 confirms it - that eneloop batts aren't suitable for DCs, as they are 'slow' batteries. Meaning that they are good for audio players, torches, etc. those that do not require fast recycles of charges like camera flashes.

Anyway eneloops are being sold at 2xAA for $10 at AP.

...and altho it's rated at 2000mAh, the capacity is equivalent to higher ones like the 2500/2700mah AA NIMH, maybe becoz of the same characteristics that allows it to retain charges over a much longer period.

(the above info is what I've gleaned over some time reading up whatever comments by users that I can find about eneloop batts.)

i am pretty sure eneloop batteries are suitable for PnS cameras that use AA batteries.

afterall they drink battery power like dslr external flashes, or do they?
