Default Hot Pixels? 602 no NR?

Was testing out my friend's 602. 3 sec exposures and there were hot pixels all over. Attached are 2 photos. Please advice. Thanks.

Nope. It was cool as anything. Didnt take any shots beforehand. Wanted to test the Hot Pixels...

Think my friend got a faulty set? Just bought 2 days ago only can still change.

It's not a defect!!!

NR kicks in in manual mode (up to 15s). For shutter priority or aperture priority, there's no NR even at the max 3s exposure. That's why you could get less noise at 15s exposure (manual) compared to 3s for AP or SP.

Individual cameras differ though in terms of hot pixels so one may have a bit more than others.

Dunno whether this is documented in the manuals or not. I learnt from my own experience and DPReview's forums.

Not all DC have NR, hence not everyone know what's NR.
