Not sure if this has been posted before... but found this from:
http://fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=1301 1.) Open CF card door and leave it open. 2.) Power on the body. 3.) Press menu and OK together. 4.) Press UP, down, left, right buttons individually in sequence. 5.) Press the shutter button all the way, and then press OK. 6.) Press down and it'll show a 'page 3' display with some bunch of metrics. 7.) At 'page 3', press in sequence: LEFT, up, right, down, shutter (fully), and then OK. 8.) Left entry choose 10, and right entry choose anywhere from 1 to 23 for ISO 50 till 10000. Press OK when done. 9.) Close CF card door and you'll be placed into the body's usual ready-to-shoot mode. 10.) Notice that the ISO is set to 'Auto'. As long as it's in 'Auto', it's the ISO you have set from step 8 just now. To reset, just choose some other ISO number and you'll have to do steps 1 till 9 again to get your super-high ISO setting. Works on my E-330 but might also work on other E-series cameras. If Menu+OK doesn't work in step 3, use Play+OK instead. Of course the higher ISOs are grainier than even ISO 1600 but hey, if you need it, you need it. Not to miss Bigfoot lurking in the shadows again! ![]() |

did you try taken a picture w it? or is it just a software bug that allows the ISo to 'show' 10000 but actual ISO stillat 1600 o at 100?
my c-7070 also have software bug, when i fine tune the white balance o +1 red, the display w show +1 blue, then you +1 again becomes +2 red. the +1 red just does not appear at all. checking the pics, it works perfectly, just that the display is wrong. |

Reminds me of those video games where you press some buttons to unlock the secret menu to enable the cheat codes and hidden features.

is it real (i.e. actually resulting in faster shutter speeds) or just a number captured in the EXIF?

That is one thing good about Olympus DSLR, can upgrade firmware on the camera, lens, flash; can use Leica lens with lens adapter; now can even hack the camera program to raise the ISO setting to ISO 10000. Then what's next?

Thanks for sharing! Tried with E-500 works too! But right entry=0 for ISO 50. Max is right entry=19, at ISO 4000 if I'm not wrong. But the high ISO pics too noisy to be usable IMHO. ISO50 can be useful I think. Have fun! Cheers. |

Red-I,
I also have E-500 but I can't get it working. What firmware do you have? Maybe some other settings are also necessary to make it work. The ISO 50 interests me, I want to see if there is any diff. between 100 and 50 ISO in RAW format. |

As cjtune pointed out try "play" + "ok" for step 3 and follow other steps as written. That worked for my E500. This step probably different for E330 and E500. The ISO set in this way is retained even if you switch off the camera; however, if you change to another shooting mode (eg. set in A mode, but you change to P mode) then the set ISO will be replaced. Personally I find the high ISOs too noisy to be useful but ISO50 looks promising. Good luck. Cheers. |
