I have the following equipments to be protected for the next few years..
Canon EOS 5D EF 50 mm f/1.4 EF 17-40 mm f/4 L EF 70-200 mm f/4 L Additionally I might settle for a Macro Lens (might be 100 mm ), but that's at a later stage late this year. Could you please advise me on a Digi Dry Cabinet ( Type and capacity) that I should be purchasing. Also please advise where is a better deal for the same and how much would it cost approximately? Is it advisable to keep other accessories like 580EX and Remote Shutter release ? |

Hi,
I got myself a Digi-cabi dry cabinet. The specs is DB-036 (30 litres) and it costs me about $99 I think. I asked my colleague's wife to help me order in so it was cash-on-delivery. The 30 litres is actually quite big (u can put 3 racks inside) and for me, the top rack can put of my 2 SLR canon cameras and below u can put all yr lens. Maybe about 4-5 lens, again depending on the size.. So I think a 30 litres dry cabinet is good enough. I find 40 litres a littleeeee too big. Hope this helps. |

I dunno.. but for me the size of my cabinet depends of how much space i have for it... coz dry cabinet can put other stuff also besides just camera stuff... I do put my unused CDRs and DVDRs in it also...
Think i got the 40L one coz of its slightly larger.. and I have a nice corner for it... Next time if wanna buy more arsenal can also put in... and not worry not enuff space... haha |

I would recommend that you get the largest one that you can afford now, say a 80L. ![]() |

i advise to get 2 small rather than one big
ie: 2 x 30 is better than 1x80 reason being that each time you open the box you have changed the humidity and if there is any breakdown, you still have one working box just a thought |
