    wait for sigma's 30mm F 1.4 or get the ZD 50mm f2

Can't speak for the Sigma 30mm, but the 50mm ZD is an excellent piece of glass.

It is a little on the expensive side though. You also might want to consider the 35mm ZD as a cheaper alternative. From the shots posted by fellow Olympians using the 35mm, I'd say it is pretty capable itself.

I think raptor1 was selling his 50mm ZD, not sure whether it is still available.

50mm macro, 40-150 or 50-200 are all pretty good lenses for shooting portraits.

30mm for portraits? I would say never less than 50mm unless you want to stick the camera into the subjects face. And I would also state that 50mm is the minimum, around 70mm gives the best result.
