![]() Talking about distortion - 70-200 does exhibit some barrel distortion, while the LX1 was used at a focal length with minimal distortion. However, the 1Ds shot was not frontal nor horiztonal. The corrected image is still not as good but photographically because of composition and lighting (the lady could be a little further to the left, the shadow on the left is too large and uniform, the sign board is partially in the shadow... etc. ). ![]() But then... since you can carry LX1 with you anytime you want, chances are, you may run into the ideal scenes WITH A CAMERA. I guess that might be the real advantage then. |

Lens Distortion plugin, as part of the PS CS2, works in CS as well. There are some FOC plugins as well but I suppose the UI may not be as nice. In fact, this plugin is much of an improved workflow utilizing free transforms and distortion filters. The same result can be achieved with those tools but requires much more trial-and-error time.
