Multiblitz Studio Lights and Equipment For Rent

SLCC is now making Studio Lights and Equipment available for rent. This renting service will be available to all SLCC students and Clubsnap members. Studio Gear can be rented in packages or per item on daily basis. Additional accessories and equipment are also available for rent. Check out the available gear below and their rates for rental.

Terms
Parties renting items are required to produce their NRIC or Passport (For Foreigners) for record. Renting cost is to be paid on the day of collection. A deposit of 20% of the actual cost price of the items is needed. This deposit will be refunded when items are returned.
If items are spoilt while in possesion of the user , the user will bear the cost of repair.
If Flash Tubes and Modelling Lamps are cracked or damaged ( not involving wear and tear ) by the user, the user shall bear the cost of new ones.

just a suggestion, perhaps you should put down the cost of actual product, so that person renting will estimate the deposit needed as well.

The deposit rates are based on 2nd hand prices of items. For the Profilux 400 Special Set, a 2nd hand set will be rented out. It costs $1500 for a 2nd hand set. The deposit is 20% of that amount = $300 .

Just to add, for the Profilux 400 Special Set rented, flash head power is 400w, Softbox is 60x100cm, Umbrella is White and one sync cable provided.

It's 360degrees light distribution is great for illuminating interiors and we recently discovered that its great for portraiture. It eliminates glare on spectacles worn by your subjects.

Yes we do sell Lights that can be used for video purposes. Pro X is the model. Its a Halogen Modelling Light. Its fitted with a U Shaped Halogen Tube that comes in either 650w, 1000w or 1250w. Colour Temperature is 3200K. Lamp Life for the 1000w and 1250w tube is 75hrs. For the 650w tube, its 50hrs.

The Pro X Kit set comes with 2 Pro X heads . 2 Stands and 2 4-way Barn Doors. High Heat Resistant softboxes of sizes 60 x 60cm and 60 x 80cm are available as an additional item. These softboxes can be fitted with Textile Honeycomb filters to diffuse more light. Other light formers available are like Silver Reflector and Background reflector.

I believe that 1000w and 1250w are more than enough to illuminate a group of people and cover a pretty wide area at at close distance. But its definately not those used to film our favourite blockbusters.

Just to add, its really small and light weight. Its around 7 to 8 inches in length, squarish shaped and has a Quiet Internal cooling fan.

Additional Flash Heads are available for rent too. 1 Light Former Accessory will be rented out at no charge for each flash head rented. This includes - Softbox, 4 Way Barn Door, Beauty Dish, Reflector, Snoot and Umbrella , for you to choose from.

These lights are not battery operated. But we do rent Battery operated Flash Heads for use in outdoor location shoots.
