    Default Travel storybooks recommendations

Just finished with 'Long Way Round' and i'm addicted to travel literatures!

Going for a short trip soon and want to borrow a book from library to bring along... Some of my those i've searched on the net are:

    Full Circle - Michael Palin
Water in Between - Kevin Patterson

    Anymore better ones?

Just finish Full Circle, where he circled the Pacific. I like Michael Palin's writing style. I think many people do, thats why he has so many paid travel...

Will be looking at his other stuff, eg
Around the world in 80 days, inspired by the novel!
Pole to Pole, where he travel one pole to the other!

Another interesting book that I enjoyed is 'Travels' by Michael Crichton, the guy that gave you Jurassic Park. Not exactly a travellogue, but ... interesting enough

    Enjoy!

I love travel books also. Have a library of them!
The one that got me started was: A fortune-teller told me by Tiziano Terzani.
Paul Theroux is also an interesting travel writer.

There are several Singapore authors that write travelogues too - King Kang aka Wu Qing Kang 吴庆康, Wu Wei Cai 吴韦材, You Jing 尤金 and Lin Qiu Xia 林秋霞, all highly recommended ... all can be found in NLB libraries Chinese sections.
