I just registered an account and would like to feedback on the forum rules.
The term rules, policies and terms were used too loosely. I cannot differentiate among the 3. When does the rules apply, where do the policies end and what are the terms. Example: Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the forums index. Rules and policies??? Although the administrators and moderators of ClubSNAP will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of ClubSNAP, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message. So the above are the rules??? and below are the policies??? By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Is this a term??? or a condition??? The owners of ClubSNAP reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Hope to hear from the webmaster or owner. |

The short answer to all your questions is YES.
The long answer is to read the actual rules, guidelines and terms of service here located in this thread. ClubSNAP's Terms of Use

Thank. In view Clubsnap is a public website, I strongly advise the owners to seek legal advice on the Terms of Use, Rules and Regulations - see examples below. I also suggest that these Terms of Use, Rules and Regulations should be flagged outfront during the new ID application.
For example, 1. The word "hereafter" should be replaced with "hereinafter". 2. Quote "..Terms and Conditions..." should be replaced with "..Terms of Use.." 3. The term "Rule #1" is non-existent. It should be replaced with "Paragraph 1" or "Para 1" for short. 4. ... plus many many more. Last but not least, some users of this website use the term "RTFM" may be a violation of "Rule #1" as you have termed it. Although one may argue the abbreviation could stand for anything, however, the term is well-known and does "deserve" the banishment staightaway. ![]() |
