I expected not many or none will comment on these pictures.
Anyway, I prefer #1. |

#1 for me. Better focus on the eyes, cleaner BG, better colors. Hmm do you happen to know how these things feed? Dont seem to have any obvious signs of a jaw.

Mainly scavengers harvestmans are. THanks for your inputs everyone. Like I said, two different perspectives and different use of detail. For info, #1 was also tripod mounted with the flash on external cord. 1/16 manual power on flash.

I like #1 for 2 reasons. one as mention by the rest, better bokeh and the 2nd reason is that the left bottom leg of the Haverstmen in the 2nd picture are quite distracting.... sort of making the Haverstmen unbalanced.
Just my 2cent. |

Heh.. cannot tell mr harvestman to take a step back or lift up a leg can i? heh.. anyway, Most would think these 3 pictures are too far away; not close enough. I like to back off nowadays to compose.
Thanks again for viewing my pictures everyone. Cheers! |

I like #1. Somehow if I imaginary extend the left and right legs to the bottom, it will form a 1/3, 2/3 ratio....so somehow conform to the rules of third.
